The Design SySTEM curriculum was designed to be flexibly used by elementary school classrooms (K-6). Just make sure you start with the Introduction to Engineering unit first (or try it out for free!).
The Grade 2-3 and Grade 4-5 packages are differentiated by the language and concepts used in the lesson plans. However, many of our teachers use the full curriculum and simply differentiate instruction for upper and lower grades.
The Grade 2-3 package contains the following six units:
- Acoustical Engineering
- Agricultural Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Marine Engineering
- Structural Engineering
If you would like to subscribe to the full curriculum, your package will additionally include:
- Astronautical Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Petroleum Engineering
- Robotics Engineering
- Software Engineering
